The Mindful In Nature Experience

As I’m guiding on walks, I’m using coaching and mentoring to support people to discover things about themselves that they might not have known when they first arrived on a walk. Let me give you an example.

Most people walk away from forest therapy, having had quite a transformational experience. I’ve just finished some additional training that has helped me further refine the questions I offer. These are invitations to discover things about oneself. It’s only when we discover things about ourselves and come into that awareness that we can adjust to a better quality of life. We can make different choices.

People walk away with this new awareness of:

“Wow, I need to give myself more time to slow down.”

“Wow, I didn’t realise how stressed I was when I arrived here.”

My role as a guide is to offer my guests a little support to discover something about themselves. This clarity can lead to powerful positive changes. The benefits of these changes can flow to support our mental and physical health as well as other aspects of our lives.

About The Course

So let me tell you a bit more about the training I’ve just done. Global Coaching Academy delivered the training and group coaching experience. As a result of this training, I can apply to the International Coaching Federation to become an accredited member.

I gained a lot from doing the training. It was personally transformative. At the start of the year, I set some goals. I became my own coach to achieve those goals. Sometimes, as humans, we have these limiting beliefs, and we tell ourselves stories about what we can, and we can’t do.

I set myself these goals, but at the time I set them, I actually had limiting beliefs. I didn’t even really believe that I could achieve the goals I’d set for myself. It’s now November. I’m two weeks away from completing my course. I’m currently going through a reflective process to look at my journey. I have achieved every single goal that I set out to achieve. I achieved them because I became my own coach.

I looked at the limiting beliefs, and I started to really believe in myself.  I broke down many barriers and fears, and I moved past all that to really come into my uniqueness, believe in myself and value myself. This experience adds another layer to my own capacity as a guide. I look forward to sharing this with you on your next Mindful in Nature experience.
