Professional Background:

Belinda brings over a decade of environmental science expertise, having developed environmental impact assessments, sustainable development projects, and conservation programs in corporate settings. Her unique combination of environmental science credentials and mental health training makes her a leader in nature-based therapeutic interventions.

Since founding Mindful in Nature in 2020, she has guided hundreds of individuals, communities, and organisations to reconnect with nature for well-being. Mindful in Nature was a finalist in the FACET Tourism Awards and won a Sustainability Award from the Joondalup Business Association.

Belinda has been a guest on several podcasts focusing on nature connection and wellbeing. Her work is recognised nationally for integrating ecopsychology and contemplative practice. She is co-author on a contemplative nature engagement practise guide publication with the University of Melbourne.

Approach & Philosophy:

Belinda's passion for environmental protection and mental wellness stems from her formative experiences in Western Australia's South West forests, where she first discovered nature's profound capacity to restore mental clarity and emotional balance. Following personal challenges that led her to meditation practice and teacher certification, she recognised the powerful synergy between mindfulness and nature immersion. Her evidence-based approach integrates scientific research on nature's mental health benefits with proven meditation techniques, creating transformative experiences that support both individual wellbeing and environmental stewardship.

Rochelle brings over ten years’ experience in social and community work, giving her strong skills in building therapeutic relationships and understanding diverse client needs. Her bicultural background in Te Reo Māori enables her to offer culturally sensitive guidance that honours Indigenous perspectives on nature connection. Since joining Mindful in Nature in 2023, she has specialised in guiding immersive nature experiences that inspire deep environmental appreciation.

Approach & Philosophy:

Drawing from her New Zealand heritage and extensive exploration of Perth Hills landscapes, Rochelle creates holistic interventions that recognise the interconnectedness of human wellbeing and environmental health. Her approach emphasises empowerment through nature connection, supporting individuals through life transitions while cultivating lasting relationships with the natural world. She designs transformative experiences that leave enduring positive impacts on both participants and their ongoing relationship with nature.

Professional Background:

Kristy combines her exercise and science expertise with comprehensive experience in community rehabilitation and health education. As a Senior Allied Health Assistant at Rehabilitation in the Home since 2017, she has developed specialised skills in community-based therapeutic interventions. Her diverse professional background includes roles as Exercise Program Facilitator, disability practitioner, and educational program coordinator, providing her with extensive experience in designing accessible, person-centred wellness programs.

Approach & Philosophy:

Kristy's lifelong connection to nature, particularly her restorative experiences in Dwellingup, informs her gentle yet innovative approach to nature-based therapy. Her well-travelled perspective and cultural awareness enable her to create inclusive experiences that resonate with diverse participants. She specialises in integrating movement and nature connection, drawing from her exercise science background to design programmes that support both physical and mental wellbeing through meaningful environmental engagement.
